The Midnight Hollow continues to be full of creative juicy energy, as proved last Thursday night where amidst the brain-boiling heat, they debuted their new track “Daytime Stranger” in the Zappruder showcase at Cameo Gallery.
Kickin’ off the summer with booze, food and live music, Bushwick Collective and Nooklyn.com threw an all day block party off the Jefferson stop on the L train, and street style was a plenty.
Highly Suspect played Trash Bar Wednesday night, and never before have I seen a Williamsburg audience get so pumped.
I’m not quite sure how to describe Brooklyn band The Adventures of the Silver Spaceman… certainly no better than frontman Zach Ellis puts it, as “the continuing story of a luminous ball of light,” but I’ll make an attempt.
Jake Falby played between sets Sunday night at Muchmore’s, a show curated by Kramer Presents of Fuck, New York. Falby’s ability to imagine waves of sound is intoxicating, forcing you to get lost in the noise.
Moody, sexy, and a little twisted, Haybaby transcends typical lo-fi garage rock by eliciting the kind of reflection that comes with no longer recognizing yourself after staring too long in the mirror.
