PS1 Plans the Party (from Start to Finish)

Warm Up, MoMA PS1’s annual summer concert series, is no small affair. From this year’s courtyard installation Party Wall, to the finely curated list of DJ’s, the contemporary art museum spares no expense when putting together this public affair.

Saturday marked the first of 11 afternoons in Queens that will feature performances by an eclectic handful of emerging artists, from XXYXX to Majical Cloudz. In addition, the stage will play host to a bevy of rotating installations by local designers, organized by curatorial assistant Jocelyn Miller & featuring the work of CONFETTISYSTEM, Fort Makers, Fort Standard, The Principals and Thunder Horse Video.

But before we get too ahead of ourselves, let’s take a moment to remember last year’s installation (WENDY by HWKN) before we meet Party Wall for the first time.
