I showed up to Paper Box hungry (a.k.a. grumpy) last Thursday night, but after watching Whiskey Bitches my heart was melted. Their music is punk but without the gimics I usually see with other all-girl bands, a beautiful thing. I was blown away by lead singer Madge’s performance and charmed with how much fun they were all having on stage. The songs took me back to a time when I didn’t worry about jobs, bills, acting responsibly… can someone please take me back to the 90s?
