The Denzels recently released “222”, titled after the apartment number a majority of the band lives at in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The track features an accelerated rhythm, mimicking the fast pace that can be living in New York. And with the line “This light of mine, will light you on fire / This light of mine is making me tired.” repeated in the chorus, one can’t help but think that this city has really changed these California boys. But the best thing about this band is that as heavy as the lyrics may get, they still know how to enjoy the present and their music will always get you dancing.
